The Chan Schenck Conservation Scholarship was established in 1984.
Channing "Chan" Schenck (died December 24, 1974) was a well-known sportsman and conservationist in Oregon. He was a member of Multnomah Anglers & Hunters for 41 years, and also helped to found the Oregon Wildlife Federation, the Columbia River Sportsmen's Council, and the Pacific Northwest Conservation Council. The Chan Schenck Conservation Scholarship is awarded annually to a junior or senior student b ased on exemplary academic performance and involvement in community activities; 36 scholarships have been awarded to date to the honorees named below.
