Multnomah Anglers & Hunters was established January 5, 1883.

We have remained dedicated ever since to supporting wildlife conservation and education efforts for the benefit of sportsmen and all citizens of Oregon. We are a registered non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and your contributions are tax deductible.

Our Achievements

141 Years of Advocacy for Conservation in Oregon

Oregon Steelhead

1969

Our advocacy helped establish legal protection for the steelhead as a game fish in the state of Oregon via Oregon House Bill 1302.

Oregon Beaches

1967

Our members lobbied tirelessly in support of free and permanent access to all of Oregon's beaches and succeeded with the passing of Oregon House Bill 1601.

Lower Deschutes Wildlife Area

1985

We joined forces with Oregon State Parks, the Oregon Wildlife Heritage Foundation, and scores of local businesses and individuals to raise the funds needed to purchase 12 miles of the Lower Deschutes River to guarantee public access in perpetuity.

E.E. Wilson Wildlife Management Area

1999

Our organization partnered with the Oregon Wildlife Heritage Foundation, Oregon Foundation for Black-tailed Deer, Multnomah Anglers & Hunters, ODFW’s Game Bird Program, and Oregon Hunters Association to fund the purchase of Coffin Butte for protection of woodland and cliff habitat and wetlands in the E.E. Wilson Wildlife Management Area.

OSU Department of Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Services Scholarships

Since 1942

In 1942, we awarded a scholarship to a student in the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife at Oregon State University. Since 1946, We have awarded scholarships every year, supporting the educational goals of 175 recipients to date.
